Shipping, Returns, Exchanges & Warranty Claims


Warranty Claims:

Each manufacturer will warrant their product individually. The warranty for all products is limited to the actual warranty extended to getaprop.com from their suppliers. The use of this website is solely at your own risk. This website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Descriptions regarding products are provided for reference only. We advise all clients to check with individual manufacturers of products and/or marine mechanics respectively to insure proper fitments.


Inboard propellers and Sailboat Propellers:

Not returnable, as they are inventoried in a factory pilot bore and are machined to fit your boat’s shaft size.


Propeller Accessories:

Parts are returnable upon a Return Authorization request; however, they are subject to a 20% restock fee, original shipping charges are not refundable. All returns / exchanges are inspected upon receipt, and additional charges may apply to any item not in “like new” condition.


All Propeller Guards:

Stainless, Aluminum or Plastic are not returnable once drilled or installed. Please install it at your own risk.


Outboard/Sterndrive Propellers: 

Not returnable once installed. Brands include: Michigan, SOLAS, Mercury, Volvo Penta, Quicksilver and BS Pro. If ordered by mistake or uninstalled they are subject to a 20% restock fee and all shipping charges are nonrefundable.


PowerTech Stainless Propeller Exchange: 

If the customer is not satisfied, we use the performance data to determine the appropriate replacement propeller through our 30-day pitch exchange program (Within the first 30 days of prop ship date from Factory, we will do a 1-Time Exchange for a propeller of equal value and different pitch, for a fee. Prop must be returned to the PowerTech Factory in Shreveport Louisiana at purchaser’s expense, in perfect condition. Any blemishes, dents, dings, scratches and/or damage will be accessed by the factory with the amount to be charged for the repair. This amount will be passed along to the customer for payment or applied to the exchange fee of $75.00 for A thru E Class stainless propellers. Stainless Bravo-2 Props have a $125.00 exchange fee. Specialty Propellers RVX4, TRP, STF, XLF4, XLF5, 15% exchange fee. Once PowerTech applies a credit to our account, that credit will then be passed along to the customer’s account less exchange fee and/or any repairs (if required) as designated by PowerTech Propellers. All Universal hub kits including XHS, Flo Torq, or Powertech kits are not exchangeable once installed and ran with the propeller. If exchanging a Powertech Propeller please keep the original universal hub kit that came with your propeller.


Powertech Stainless Propeller Returns (No Exchange)

For propeller returns only (no exchange) - If the customer is not satisfied within the first 30 days of prop ship date from Factory, we will do a 1-Time Return for a propeller for a fee. Prop must be returned to the PowerTech Factory in Shreveport Louisiana at purchaser’s expense, in perfect condition. Any blemishes, dents, dings, scratches and/or damage will be accessed by the factory with the amount to be charged for the repair. This amount will be passed along to the customer for payment or applied to the restock fee of $100.00 for A thru E Class stainless propellers. Stainless Bravo-2 Props have a $150.00 restock fee. Specialty Propellers RVX4, TRP, STF, XLF4, XLF5, 20% restock fee. Once PowerTech applies a credit to our account, that credit will then be passed along to the customer’s account less restock fee and/or any repairs (if required) as designated by PowerTech Propellers. All Universal hub kits including XHS, Flo Torq or Powertech hub kits are not returnable once installed and ran with the propeller. If returning a Powertech Propeller please keep the original universal hub kit that came with your propeller.


Back Orders:

We will contact you via email or phone if your items are backordered. If you choose to cancel a backordered item, a refund will be issued that is consistent with the original form of payment to the original purchaser within 7-10 business days.


Customs, Duties and Tariff Fees:

Customers are responsible for all import fees for the country associated with the order.


Custom Propeller Sizing Suggestions: 

Getaprop offers propeller size suggestions free of charge and are offered at the sole risk of the consumer. We assume no liability for damages as to the outcome of our propeller suggestions. All return shipping charges are at purchaser’s expense.

  • Returns (if authorized) must be made within 30 days from the date of purchase
  • Products must be returned in original undamaged packaging
  • Products must be properly packed to avoid damage during shipping
  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
  • Clearly mark the outside of the box with your Return Authorization Number (if required)
  • Send your package via a traceable method & retain a copy of the tracking number for your reference
  • Your refund, minus any restock fee, will be credited to your account within 7 to 10 business days after arrival of goods returned.
