Federal CX500 Propeller

SPECIAL ORDER PROPELLER; The Federal CX series propellers are NC milled and machine finished creating a high tolerance level propeller. The NC technology makes it possible to individualize specific blade design for each application requirement. This often includes incorporating variable pitch with particular rake and skew adjustments. The Federal engineering process has optimized the material placement on the blade to exacting standards by adjusting pitch pressure and suction surface on the blade. The uniform blade surface greatly reduces drag. The NC machining process insures each CX propeller is practically identical. A full custom design CX propeller requires accurate vessel data to insure proper application. Creating a custom propeller takes more time to design, engineer, and manufacture than an existing propeller line. CX propellers can be made in 3,4,5,6 and 7 blade configurations.

Federal CY500 Propeller

SPECIAL ORDER PROPELLER; The new Federal "Y" series propeller is a semi-custom series that offers many features and benefits of a full-custom propeller with the economies of series manufacture. The "Y" is evolved from years of custom propeller design experience. All "Y" propellers are CNC machine finished. The chosen combination of blade area and skew in this series, along with variable pitch and camber, make for a close efficiency match throughout the entire engine power curves. Years of propeller design experience have allowed Federal naval architects to optimize the "Y" design to maximize the performance of virtually all planing hulls. Increasingly, boat builders are choosing to install the new "Y" series as standard equipment after appreciating the difference in sea-trials compared to less sophisticated product. Each EPY, EQY, and CY5 propeller are manufactured to exacting specifications, and inspected using the latest digital technology. Each propeller is given a serial number, permitting design and inspection data to be retrieved and reviewed for field service

Federal HX400 Propeller

SPECIAL ORDER PROPELLER; The Michigan HX propeller is designed to accommodate the high horsepower needs of the pleasure and commercial boater. The highly tolerant, hand finished HX wheel provides maximum thrust, speed and smoothness. This series is largely constant pitch with expanded area ratios but the available variety in design creates a semi-customizable propeller. HX is available in 3, 4, and 5 blade configurations.

Federal Marlin-5 Propeller

SPECIAL ORDER PROPELLER; The MARLIN series is the result of a major R & D Program undertaken with Maritime Research Associates LLC (MRA), MTU Detroit Diesel, and the Maritime Research Institute of the Netherlands (MARIN). The applications are for high power/high speed Sportfish and Sportcruiser models that are capable of speeds into the high 40 knot range. This series is primarily for NEW construction, involving Michigan Wheel at design, where consideration can be given to best appreciate of MARLIN configuration. The MARLIN propellers in 4-blade will range from 0.825 to 0.90 E.A.R., and 0.90 to 1.05 E.A.R. in 5-blade. The MARLIN series design features variable pitch, camber, skew, and a degree of rake. All MARLIN are fully CNC machine finished to high tolerance. The purpose of the series, beyond optimizing performance, is to MANAGE cavitation.

HUNG SHEN KCA4

SPECIAL ORDER PROPELLER; The Hung Shen KCA-3B is a traditional propeller for fairly efficient operating speeds below 25 knots. The vibration and noise produced by this propeller for medium and high shaft inclinations is minimal. Hung Shen KCA-4B & 5B propellers are for use on vessels operating at speeds lower than 30 knots. The blades are wider to help control cavitation on the blade surface. The level of vibration produced by these propellers is lower than the KCA-3B propeller.

HUNG SHEN NSP4

SPECIAL ORDER PROPELLER; After ten years of research and development Hung Shen has created a line of propellers that acutely refines the performance levels of luxury yachts and patrol boats. This new high speed propeller employs advanced new-foil blade technology to decrease sensitivity to cavitation while operating at inclined shaft levels. The optimized variable pitch distribution and Non-linear blade skew of 18-36 degrees creates an average increase in speeds over 25 knots, of 1 knot or greater over other propellers. These custom Propellers can be made in 4,5,6 and 7 blade configurations and 0.7 to 1.2 blade

HUNG SHEN NVP4

SPECIAL ORDER PROPELLER; The NVP series propeller uses new-foil section, to increase performance and decrease sensitivity to the angle of attack created by an inclined shaft position. This propeller is able to control cavitation extension on the surface of the blade in turn avoiding breakdown in thrust. The result is a propeller that is able to lower vibration and noise created by cavitation. The NVP series is excellent at gaining acceleration and maneuverability on vessels that require a high level of performance to get up on a plane. The outstanding gripping ability of the NVP propeller allows the boat to hold its planing speed better while in severe maneuvers and during sharp turns. These custom Propellers can be made in 4,&5 blade configurations and 0.65 to 1.06 blade area ratios.

SPECIAL ORDER PROPELLER; The Hung Shen Super Series Propeller series is designed to for use on high speed vessels that get up on a plane. The excellent acceleration performance and superior water gripping ability allow the vessel to hold its speed during extreme turns. The effectiveness of this propeller series has been proven on vessels cruising in the 30 to 45 knot range since 1998. This is also a low vibration and noise propeller. These custom Propellers can be made in 3, 4,&5 blade configurations and 1.0 to 1.8 blade area ratios.

VEEMSportfish Propeller

SPECIAL ORDER PROPELLER; VEEM's pleasure craft and sport fisher designs are created using the latest C.F.D.(Computational Fluid Dynamics) technology and cavitation tunnel testing. These designs are then validated on full scale trial vessels. VEEM's primary test vessel is a 64ft Sport fisher with two off 2400HP engines which is required to validate 40 to 50+ knot propeller designs.
